Upgrades at the TEAC – Electrical Automation

Our team at HEL Rimu Electrical recently completed a specialised major electrical upgrade at the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, delivering smarter, more energy-efficient systems to support year-round comfort and performance at the facility.

Here’s what we delivered:
New AHU (Air Handling Unit) Installation
We supplied and wired a modern air handling unit to improve ventilation and indoor air quality for the pool hall. The AHU plays a key role in maintaining consistent airflow and supporting heat recovery for improved energy efficiency.

Upgraded Humidity Control
Swimming pool environments generate high humidity, which can lead to discomfort and long-term building damage. We installed and commissioned new electrical controls to support advanced dehumidification systems, helping to maintain healthy moisture levels and reduce condensation in the pool area.

MTHW Control for Pool Hall Heating and Heat Recovery
We installed electrical infrastructure and control wiring for the new Medium Temperature Hot Water system — including integration with the AHU for efficient heat recovery. This system now provides stable, responsive heating to the entire pool hall, improving comfort for all users while reducing energy demand.

This project reflects our capability in delivering complex mechanical-electrical installations for community and recreation facilities.
