HEL Rimu successfully delivered a 1 Megawatt ground-mounted solar farm for Nexans New Zealand, now the largest solar installation in a Taranaki industrial zone. Installed over 1,000m² of unused land, the system features:

• 1,500 panels
• Over 10,000m of cable
• Producing 900 amps per phase

This installation now offsets a major portion of Nexans’ daily energy use, significantly reducing their reliance on the grid and locking in stable energy costs for the next decade.

Delivered on time and on budget, the project was completed in partnership with NuGreen Solutions, OPR, S-Rack, YEH Engineers, J.A. Russell Ltd, Brough Earthworks, and David Jonker Roofing.

The project gained national recognition — runner-up at the 2024 SEANZ Awards and a finalist in the Master Electricians Excellence Awards.
